A Bit About Grace

Grace Lee was born in Guyana, South America, and emigrated and has called Connecticut home for the last 29 years. Grace has been married to her husband Nkosi for 17 years and their union has been blessed with five sons, Elijah, Morehouse Class of 2027, Emmanuel, Azariah, Josiah and Micah.

Professionally, Grace has been a Correctional Counselor with seventeen years of experience working to prepare young men to return to their communities to become productive members of society. Grace was recognized as the 2014-2015 Employee of the Year for the Department of Corrections. This honor was and still is a testament to her dedication and commitment to the Department’s motto of Pride and Professionalism to which Grace approaches all of her assignments, whether professional or personal. Grace earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University and her Master’s Degree in Administration of Security and Justice from the University of Phoenix with honors and is a member of the National Honor Society of Criminal Justice Alpha Phi Sigma.

Grace is also a member of Lambda Beta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporation, where she passionately serves and volunteers in her community where the main goal is to uplift, educate and inspire women and children within her community.

Grace is a big sports fan and an even bigger cheerleader for her sons at their sporting events, soccer and football. She also likes to say she is a sub for the basketball team and at times may have a mean jumpshot.

Grace Lee is excited to serve as the Morehouse College Parent Council Representative for Region 9. She believes that it really does take a Village and there is GREATER when we are all on one accord, especially when it comes to our children as we prepare the next generation.
