

A Bit About Jessica
Jessica C. Taylor is a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, and a graduate of North Atlanta High School of Performing Arts. In June 1995, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, embarking on a distinguished 17-year career defined by honor, courage, and commitment. A Combat Veteran, Jessica served with dignity and distinction.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College. She is also a certified Neuromuscular Therapist and a licensed Massage Therapist, combining scientific insight with holistic wellness in her role as the owner of Mindful Movement Health and Wellness.
With over two decades of experience supporting students and families, Jessica embodies profound expertise in administration, logistics, and philanthropic engagement. Her work grounded in the core values of discipline, teamwork, and service—principles refined during her military service and extended through her active role in community leadership. These values continue to inform her ability to foster trust, unite people, and drive impactful change.
Jessica is married to Mr. Darryl Taylor. She is the proud mother of two: Jayda, Class of 2026 at Norfolk State University, and DeShawn, a Dual Degree Major, Class of 2028 at Morehouse College. She remains committed to balancing her professional pursuits with strong family values and community involvement. Whether mentoring youth, advocating for veterans, or leading by example, Jessica Taylor embodies resilience, purpose, and service in every area of her life.
