A Bit About Jessica

Jessica C. Taylor is a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, and a graduate of the North Atlanta High School of Performing Arts. In 1995 she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, beginning a distinguished 17-year career defined by honor, courage, and commitment. As a Combat Veteran, Jessica served her country with excellence, developing the leadership, discipline, and resilience that continue to guide her today. ​

 

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College and is both a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Certified Neuromuscular Therapist (CNMT). She is the owner of Mindful Movement Health and Wellness, where she combines evidence-based knowledge with a holistic approach to help clients improve their health, mobility, and overall well-being. ​

 

With more than 20 years of experience supporting students, families, and nonprofit organizations, Jessica has built a reputation for exceptional leadership in administration, logistics, event planning, and community engagement. Grounded in the core values of service, teamwork, and integrity, she is passionate about bringing people together, building meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities that positively impact others. ​

 

Jessica currently serves as the Region 1 Representative for the Morehouse College Parent Council (MCPC), where she works to strengthen connections among parents, students, alumni, and the college community. ​

 

Jessica is married to Mr. Darryl Taylor, a retired United States Marine. Together, they are the proud parents of two accomplished children: Jayda, a graduate of Norfolk State University, and DeShawn, a dual-degree major in Applied Physic and Computer Engineering at the Morehouse College -Class of 2028.

 

Whether mentoring others, advocating for veterans, promoting health and wellness, or serving her community, Jessica leads with compassion, resilience, and purpose. She is committed to making a lasting difference by empowering others to live healthier, stronger, and more fulfilling lives through meaningful connection, service, and community.
